We are living at a crucial time of necessity for unity. Despite claiming to be the most highly evolved organisms on earth; class, cultural peculiarities, human-made borders, skintones, gender, ageism and speciesism divide us.
Our greed and disassociation from planet earth as a whole organism is impeding our capacity to see reason and act in accordance with realistic goals that could preserve and nurture our resoruces, prolonging and improving life as we know it.
Agile Experiments, which began unassumingly with the formation of this trio back in 2015, was born out of a need to express within the honest boundaries of in-the-moment creativity.
Grounded in the diversity of our circumstances and unified in the intention to accept each other's capacities, needs and unique flavours, all paths that stem out of this project re-centre in the strength of solidarity and collaboration.
It would be easy to accept, that if Dave De Rose had not met John Edwards and Dan Nicholls this project would not exist at all. Yet, all the artists involved, voluntary and involuntary audience members, reviewers, DJs, friends and family who ever came near it have participated in its momentum.
We are extremely proud to be able to fully represent this original concoction of musical minds who'd only been previously featured in shorter extracts of Agile Experiments releases. This record simply presents two sides cut from our improvised performance at The Empire Bar, February 5th 2020 before any suggestion of the current world crisis had arrived in our midst.
It captures the trio at it's best and perfectly represents the ethos and core ideology of the project's manifesto.
We hope that you will truly enjoy these minutes of off-the-cuff cooperative creativity.
In good faith and love for people and music,
Agile Experiments
