During the unusual times of virus related restrictions, Agile Experiments, whose primary form had been about capturing live performances together with an audience, chose to break it's own regulations, dogmas and manifesto, mutating while striving for survival.

As we operate in the path guided by The Way of the Tao, all life's events are accepted. We flex and re-mould making peace with the challenges of the moment, feeding the art and giving our all by any means necessary.

Anubis, the dog headed God of death, is embraced here as provider of the ultimate state of transformation. From the end of Agile Experiment's previous form blooms a new creative portal, still armed with spur of the moment creative freedom concepts at its core but reformed by the necessities imposed by its times.

In October 2019, during the Agile Experiments 'Athens' album launch trip to the capital, Dave De Rose and Jan Van de Engel found themselves with the opportunity to enjoy playing and recording some completely improvised drum duets.
Later in the middle of the stark and gig-less second half of 2020 Dave began to play with the idea of cutting extracts from these duets and post-producing overlays of new sounds, letting the free-flowing drum performances guide the arrangements of new compositions.
The process then returned to improvisation by bringing Josh Arcoleo (also featured on Agile Experiments vol.2) in to the studio to overdub some spontaneous saxophone takes. His only guideline was to record an improvisation and layer it with a second and on occasion a third pass. The record was then completed by a second edit, post-production and mixing session.
